Hello,
The briefest way to describe both my future and past experience is endless exploration. I believe that there are no limits to what you can learn and how much you can learn. Because of this belief, I have, and continue to strive towards being well rounded in my education and open minded to everything that comes my way. I grew up trying new things all of the time, partly because of my curious mind, but also because of my family’s constant moving. As my journey continued, I came to one of the many forks I will encounter, picking a degree. Stumped at having to chose a single area of focus, I finally landed in Theatre Education with minors in Mathematics and Technical Theatre. Education because every single life experience to some degree improves your ability to teach others, and the limits are endless whilst you follow your journey of being a forever student. Theatre because of its unique ability to transpose art in a form that communicates leadership, teamwork, community, respect, and numerous other life skills. Mathematics because of my enthusiasm for STEM, and my desire to be well-rounded. While obtaining my education, I have taken on experiential opportunities as well. I am an ambassador for The College of Performing Arts to hopefully help people find their place in an academic institution. I am a carpenter for the scene shop so I can understand not only performance, but the breadth of Technical Theatre. I will close my brief summary with a favorite quote, “Live now. Make now always the most precious time. Now will never come again,” Captain Jan-Luc Picard.
